The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Finance and HR Department Leads to maintain financial records and accurate accounting of the company business transactions.
Responsibilities will include:
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting processes
- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Complete bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Engage communication with customers and vendors to resolve any issues while keeping company values in place
Education, skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting or other related field preferred
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- High attention to detail for data entry, showing a knack for numbers
- Proven ability to manage spreadsheets
- Proven ability to manage multiple software systems
- Ability to multi task and work in a team environment
Working Conditions:
- This position requires long periods of sitting
